Within 10 years after the initial building was completed, the team started expanding with the support of new technologies and local innovation.

M3 Building

Occupying the corner of Chesterville and Cochranes Rd in Moorabbin, the original yellow brick construction accommodated a modest administration team and the early production facilities.

M1 Building

This iconic example of brutalist architecture with its impressive concrete spanning roof structure was used as the staff canteen. With over 1,000 people on site, somewhere sizeable was required to keep the hungry crew fed and happy.

M2 Building

These buildings give you an appreciation of the size and scale of the operation on site. Each floor is the equivalent of a 10-storey CBD office tower, with a floor plate of over 14,000sqm of open span space. But it’s not just the expanse of space that is impressive - each floor has a ceiling height of 6-9m in what would have been an engineering masterpiece in it’s day.

M4 Building

This 160m long brick building spans nearly 5,000 square meters, with high clearance originally used for early stage production prior to sending goods via conveyor belt system up to level for processing.

M5 Building

This part of the facility was responsible for all heating and cooling across the site, housing the large boiler and chiller that would condition all of M1 and M4 to approx. 22 degree celsius year round to ensure optimal production conditions.

M6 Building

This new storage facility acted as the bond storage for goods destined to large resellers and for export beyond our shores. While located in suburban Melbourne, the local operation supplied majority of Oceania and the Pacific. Any goods that were manufactured onsite, but destined for export were stored here.

Royal Stacks is a wonderful place. Where pop culture is Queen and the burger is King. Don’t get it twisted though, these are burgers for the people. Made from fresh, local ingredients, the menu is a humble one. Eight burgers – all beef, except for the vegetarian one. Start simple with a Single Stack and level up from there. There are extras, tasty add-ons, and sweet treats for a satisfying finish.
