Fire the confetti cannons, folks—Morris Moor's historic site is turning 70! In a thriving post-war Moorabbin, Philip Morris chose this spot for its first factory outside the US in 1954. Quickly becoming an integral part of local life, the factory was one of the area's largest employers—and in an era defined by its bootstrap attitude, the site hummed with innovation and community spirit.

Fast forward 70 years to today's Morris Moor—a vibrant multi-use destination that honours its long heritage while embracing the future. Through an ambitious adaptive reuse program, the buildings’ original bones—eaves, structure and large windows—were repurposed, creating a sustainable environment where people and the planet thrive.

To celebrate this momentous occasion—hello, platinum birthday!—we’ll be lighting up Morris Moor all year long. With events, installations, surprise collaborations, and a signature scent by Air Aroma in the pipeline, we’re so excited to invite the local community to join us in what promises to be a fantastic year of fun.
